MD’s Column

KMRL is the pioneer of green transport in Kerala. As a part of our vision to create a greener, cleaner Kochi, we have decided to observe every Friday as Public Transport Day. All our employees commute to and from the office using public transport or a non-motorized mode of transport on that. Our aim is to inspire people to use public transport at least once a week, which will reduce the load and impact of toxic pollutants emitted by individual vehicles on the environment. This move will also help decongest roads, which in turn saves time, money and fuel. Like they say, little drops make an ocean. We are positive that this initiative will help improve the air quality and decrease traffic blocks in Kochi city in the long run.

We sincerely hope the people of Kochi joins us in our journey to make Kochi a shining example to the world.
