MD's Column
Our Second Anniversary, With Many Firsts.
|
|
|
KMRL is proud to have finished two
years of successful operation, with
over 2.8 million happy commuters
and many new initiatives under
its belt.
The comfort and convenience of
both our workers and commuters
are of foremost importance to us.
Furthering this idea, we were able to
create a gender-neutral workspace,
becoming India’s first Metro service
to do so. Another one of our key
initiatives was the installation of
feeding pods and plastic bottle
recyclers in select stations. And with
e-auto feeders, installation of solar
power plants, horticulture and
rainwater harvesting projects, we
were able to introduce Kochi to more
sustainable alternatives.

Shri. APM Mohammed Hanish IAS
MD, KMRL
Indeed, our second anniversary is marked
with many incredible firsts. And none of it
would have been possible without the
support and cooperation of the public.
Together, let us continue to make our
planet greener, one small act at a time.
