Ved Mani Tiwari joins KMRL as Director (Systems)
Ved Mani Tiwari joined Kochi Metro Rail Limited as Director (Systems) today. He is a 1992 batch IRSEE officer with 23 years experience across different systems of transportation. He is possibly the youngest person to be a director of any Metro system in India.
He was working as Director in the Ministry of Railways in charge of modernisation of EMUs and setting up new manufacturing facilities and procurement of new generation locomotives and EMUs. Prior to this, he was working as Joint General Manger of DMRC.
Mr. Tiwari holds a degree in Electrical engineering with a unique career of almost 23 years. His area of specialisation and expertise is in procurement, installation, testing commissioning, designing and preparation of bid document, formulation and implementation of policies and programmes and lot more. He also has received several awards and recognitions at international /national level for outstanding achievements in his areas.
During his stint in DMRC, he was a part of team, which handled the interfacing with viaduct, track and signaling system, telecom system, rolling stock and utilities of line III of phase1 of Delhi Metro.
