The past year was earmarked by KMRL with
significant achievements. We proudly
inaugurated the Thrippunithura station on
March 6th, 2024, signifying the successful
completion of Phase 1 of the Kochi Metro

project. This expansion not only enhances
connectivity but also fosters economic growth
within the city.

Construction of Phase 2, extending the metro network from Jawaharlal
Nehru Stadium to Infopark, has commenced. This crucial phase extends

the metro network from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to Infopark, further
strengthening the reach and impact of the Kochi Metro. Completing this
phase in a timely manner is our top priority, and we are committed to

achieving this goal within a set timeframe.

This report delves deeper into the initiatives showcasing our
comprehensive approach to sustainable development. We are confident
that our unwavering commitment to environmental and social

responsibility will ensure the long-term success of the Kochi Metro while
fostering a greener and more sustainable future for Kochi.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire KMRL team for
their unwavering commitment to sustainability and energy-saving
initiatives. Optimizing energy consumption in Operation & Maintenance
has made Kochi Metro a pioneer in the industry. Efforts of KMRL have set a
benchmark to follow, demonstrating that sustainable practices can be

seamlessly integrated into public transportation operations.
