Current Deployment & Future Expansion

Presently, the Q-MMS app is deployed in the Power Supply & Traction (PST) and
Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) departments. Based on its successful implementation

and positive impact, there are plans to expand its deployment to all maintenance
departments in the future. This expansion will further standardize maintenance

workflows across KMRL, ensuring seamless asset management and enhanced
operational efficiency throughout the metro network.

The Q-MMS app is continuously evolving to meet the growing operational demands of

Kochi Metro. Future updates aim to introduce:

1.Push Notifications for upcoming maintenance tasks, ensuring timely execution.

2.Offline Support to allow technicians to work in remote areas with later

synchronization.
3.Advanced Analytics Dashboard for insightful maintenance data analysis and

performance tracking.
4.Additional Modules for Failure Management, Spare Parts Management, and

more.

With the introduction of Q-MMS, Kochi Metro has taken a significant stride in

embracing digital transformation for infrastructure maintenance. The QR-based
system enhances efficiency, reduces human errors, and improves asset longevity

while minimising downtime.
The app also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by eliminating the need for

paper-based maintenance records.
