WHAT IS KOCHI METRO 365?
To celebrate its first year of operations, Kochi Metro plans to create a very special memorabilia – a first-of-its-kind people-powered photo book that will showcase how the Metro has transformed not just the way Kochi will be remembered in future, but also how it has transformed the way Kochi’s citizens feel about the city. This book will feature 300+ best photographs from the Kochi Metro 365 Photo Contest that calls upon anyone and everyone to click their best shot of the human moments of Kochi Metro and send it in.
WHAT IS THE THEME FOR THE PHOTO CONTEST?
The theme of the contest is ‘Nammude Kochi Metro’ showcases how Kochi Metro has positively influenced the lives of Kochi citizens, and changed the way this city will be remembered forever. The aim is to create a stunning collection of images that showcases the transformative impact of Kochi Metro on the culture of Kochi city and its people. The best images will be featured in the Kochi Metro 365 Coffee-table book to be released to celebrate the first year of Kochi Metro operations. Contestants can choose themes that portray the transformative impact of Kochi Metro from within or outside the Kochi Metro premises. Winners will get cash awards worth Rs. 1.5 Lakhs.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PHOTO CONTEST?
The contest is open to all individuals of all ages.
HOW DO YOU PARTICIPATE?
You will have to register yourself for the contest by visiting www.kochimetro.org. The registration fee is Rs. 1000 to be paid online. Once registered, you will be issued special KochiMetro365 travel pass that will permit you to take photographs inside the Kochi Metro on 3 days of your choice for 3 hours a day during the contest period. You can enter your photos from 3rd-22nd April 2018 through the Kochi Metro website only. Digital high-resolution colour photographs in one of the following file formats are accepted: .jpg, .jpeg and .png. The photos must be sent in their original size, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Each contestant may enter upto two photos along with a caption and concept note for each.
HOW IS THE WINNER SELECTED?
The winners will be selected by an eminent jury. Their decision will be final.
WHAT PRIZE CAN YOU WIN?
The winners will get cash awards as following:
1st prize: Rs. 50,000
2nd prize: Rs. 25,000
3rd prize: Rs. 15,000
6 special jury awards: Rs. 10,000 each.
The best 300+ photographs will be featured in the first ever people-powered Kochi Metro 365 photo book alongside photos by some of the celebrated photographers in India. The awards will be given away at a special function to launch the Kochi Metro 365 Metro book.
WHAT ARE THE RULES OF PARTICIPATION FOR THE PHOTO CONTEST?
By participating, you guarantee and declare to KMRL that you have full ownership of the intellectual property rights and copyrights of the entered photographs and you are the only author. You shall indemnify KMRL against any recourse of any kind linked to the exploitation, the reproduction and use of the photos entered by you. By participating, you also declare that, if a person or persons are pictured on the photos entered by you, you have the permission of this person or these persons to reproduce their portrait. The entered photos must be taken by you. The copyrights of the photo are transferred to KMRL. The entered photos may be used in the communication by and about KMRL, both during and after the contest. The contest is open for anyone and everyone except for KMRL staff. The detailed rules can be read here.

WHO IS ORGANIZING THE KOCHI METRO 365?
The project is organized by the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL). The cash awards for the Photo Contest are being sponsored by IDEA cellular. By taking part, the participant fully and unconditionally complies with both the rules and all decisions taken regarding this photo contest. KMRL reserves the right to modify/change the rules for this contest as it deems necessary. No telephone calls or correspondence will be conducted about the rules.
