KMRL has decided to observe every Friday as ‘Public Transport Day’, starting January 2020. All KMRL employees will have to mandatorily use public transport on Fridays as a part of this ‘green-transport initiative’, which aims to encourage people to use non-motorized / public transport at least once a week. This initiative will help reduce air and sound pollution caused by individual vehicles and ease traffic congestion in the city.
