Shorter waiting time during peak hours.
Kochi Metro is fast becoming the most trusted mode of transport for officegoers, thanks to its on-time, uninterrupted and lightning fast services. Taking into consideration the substantial increase in passenger numbers, Kochi Metro has reduced the waiting time between trains from seven minutes to six minutes during peak hours i.e.
from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, from Monday, with effect from October 2019. Hence, 15 trains will ply instead of 13 during peak hours on weekdays, with a headway of six minutes.
Metro ensures uninterrupted service during bad weather
Kochi Metro came to the rescue of thousands of commuters by ensuring uninterrupted, on-time service on 21 October, when the entire city faced severe waterlogging and traffic congestion following heavy downpour. More than 75,000 passengers depended on the Metro that day to avoid unending blocks and delays.
